Summary

Leading on from the peer review Alison conducted in Kenya, Acorn was contracted to lead the team to create a generic handbook for National Tourist Boards. The aim is to enable them to create a robust B2B and B2C sustainability marketing and communication strategy, based on product and market analysis. The Manual comprises seven modules, includes best practice examples from tourist boards who have taken an active approach to sustainability and can be adapted to the local context of each country.

Our Approach

Research and analysis of existing relevant manuals was undertaken before starting the manual. Experience from previous projects was also considered when developing and manual. We found case study example both online and through looking at Green Destinations certified destinations.

Outcome

A comprehensive manual was then produced with tools, case study examples and resources to support National Tourism Boards with their sustainable marketing and branding strategy development.
