About

Summary

Acorn led a peer review for a local consultant who delivered a Comparative Study on Sustainable Destination Branding and a training programme on Sustainability Branding and Communications for the Kenya Tourism Board. This incorporated sessions on sustainable tourism policies, practice, regulators, stakeholders, gaps, best practices, and recommendations together with Branding Strategies of Sustainable Destinations: creating the brand, communication channels, specific actions.

Our Approach

An in-depth review of all the documentation and training programmes was undertaken. Advice and recommendations for improvement was then provided.

Outcome

Based on this development of these resources, Acorn was asked to write a generic Sustainable Branding, Marketing and Communications Manual for National Tourist Boards, that can be adapted to the needs of specific destinations.
