Visitor Economy Analysis
Visitor economy analysis is one of Acorn’s core specialties in the UK and internationally.
We design and implement visitor expenditure surveys, analyse the tourism sector through value chain studies, and develop economic impact models. Working with the United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO), we have been developing Tourism Satellite Accounts for the past 10 years.
In London, the Boroughs of Kensington and Chelsea, Camden and Richmond have all commissioned us to undertake Visitor Economy Studies that inform them of the true value of their tourism sectors. By presenting our robust data to the elected Councillors, the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea was, for the first time, able to secure a substantial tourism budget.
Our main services include:
- Economic impact studies
- Tourism Satellite Accounts (TSA)
- Value chain analysis
- Visitor economy studies
"We engaged Acorn to carry out a visitor economy study in 2008/09. They were very competitive, experienced and competent and produced a really useful, jargon-free report, on time and to budget. I would have no hesitation in using Acorn again."
Neil Herbert, Head of Licensing and Business Improvement, Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea
