Kevin advises public and private sector organisations on the development of tourism, both in the UK and overseas. He specialises in tourism statistics, measuring the economic impact of tourism, and developing Tourism Satellite Accounts (TSA). Over the last 15 years has worked closely with the UNWTO on their TSA programme.

Kevin has managed and worked on a wide range of projects for clients in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Over the period 2001-2004, he was responsible for establishing the highly respected Market Research and Statistics Unit within the Saudi Commission for Tourism.

Kevin has been instrumental in the development of T-STATS, the first and only online tourism statistics database developed specifically for the tourism sector.

In the UK Kevin has recently worked on a series of highly respected Visitor Economy Studies for the London Boroughs of Kensington and Chelsea, Camden and Richmond.

Alison joined Kevin as a Partner at Acorn in 2002. Her skills encompass consumer research, the holiday property market, event tourism, production management, sales and marketing. This breadth of experience enables her to provide clients with innovative yet pragmatic solutions.

She was an analyst and journalist for the Consumers’ Associations in London, Hong Kong, Penang and Sydney, before spending seven years producing some of the world’s largest live music television events - including Pink Floyd’s rock opera The Wall Live from Berlin - events that laid the foundations for the event tourism sector.

Alison enjoys creating the right team to develop her clients’ businesses. She formed the team that launched Mahindra Homestays into the UK market and is currently working with Collabor8 in the South Downs to generate a sustainable business network.

Alison is a member of the Tourism Society Consultants Group and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. She is also a member of CoaST, Tourism for All and The Travel Foundation and a Director of Ta Petrina, a Greek based holiday property company.
