what we do
who we work with
Development Agencies
We work with economic development and regeneration agencies to provide market sector analysis, investment studies and pilot product development ideas.
In the North West we have provided the NWDA with recommendations on improving the implementation and reporting of their surveys.
For the LDA we evaluated the business tourism venues in North London to establish if further development of the sector was required.
In the East of England we ran a pilot project in the protected landscapes, to develop 18 sustainable tourism itineraries that encouraged visitors to explore the area without using a car.
In Europe we have provided policy advice to the European Commission and we have developed trans-national projects with Public Administrations in northern France.
"We have now worked with Acorn on two quite different jobs – an investment study for the Cathedral & Uphill Lincoln area and a Feasibility Study for derelict farm buildings deep in the Lincolnshire Wolds - the prestigious to the unknown. The team are a joy to work with – very professional but showing a terrific commitment and genuine interest in the job in hand. Integrity too - they won't deliver a final report that just regurgitates what they think you want to hear."
